Well I have been using Prog Archives for a really long time to learn about bands, but finally decided to register on the forums today.  

As for the music I listen too, I am a heavy prog metal listener but lately have been discovering Neo-Prog bands (Arena, Marillion, IQ, etc) and a lot of Avant-Garde music as well.

Thats pretty much it, except for my first concert experience.  It was 2002/3 when Queensryche, Fates Warning and Dream Theater toured togethered and arrived in my hometown.  My friends and I sat in line for 5 hours to get front row seats at the show and we were up front and center for 45 minutes of Fates Warning, an hour and a half for both Queensryche and Dream Theater and then a 45 minute encore/finale that both Queensryche and Dream Theater participated in.  Ever since that, I have been hooked.
