i wrote this in my last post on another thread:

"imo the only prog related... thing of LZ is John Paul Jones, who is also the main composer for ITOD. also, proglike writing comes from him on No Quarter, Trampled UnderFoot, Kashmir, and even on Stairway to Heaven (i admitt it's really difficult not to hear the guitar part, but try, and maybe you'll see the organ "atmosphere" of the song is quite proglike). i'll think i'll even develop the matter of JPJ as prog-related in it's own thread (have you heard his Zooma?)"

JPJ could be a very interesting artist to progfans, but mostly due to his recent career and not to the LZ participation. i think Zooma hits very close somewhere between neo and experimental, how about you? i saw he hasn't been proposed for a biography, but he should be. or shouldn't he?

I have done some minor acts of inclusion proposals for him. Nice to hear support for this thing! Smile

Based on the album I've heard (Zooma), he's at least prog-related. Thumbs Up

I have heard one of his solo albums, and I agree that it has a somewhat Proggy sound. As some of you may know by now, I'm not a supporter of the Prog Related category and I'd like it deleted, but since it is here I see no reason why an obviously Prog inspired artist should be left out of it.
