Following the second and definitive break up of OSANNA (after "Suddance"), guitarist Danilo Rustici created a new band called LUNA. Rustici joined some musicians from Naples as Sabatino Romano (from Musica Nova) and the sessionman Joe Amoruso (today highly requested). In 1977 the group released the single "Hallo" / "Siliah Era Diversa", in 1978 "Iron Fair" / Stay Here With Me" and in 1980 (with the TUNNEL name) the single "Speed Up" / "Tunnel Lights". In 1981 LUNA released the first and only album "Luna" with Danilo Rustici on guitar and vocals, Joe Amoruso on keyboards, Dario Franco on bass, and Sabatino Romano on drums. LUNA's rock is very good, with some soft cuts and some hard. They're all sung in Italian except for "Firebird", which is a new elaboration of a work by Stravinsky.

When I was in Milan last week, I went to the BTF shop and saw this CD, which I wanted to buy as a present for a big Italian prog fan. However, the guy in the shop told me it was much closer to mainstream pop (he compared it to the notorious Italian melodic pop band Pooh LOL) than to prog - so I refrained from buying it and opted for something else.

Remember that it was 1981, when prog rock was going down. Nevertheless, i own a copy of this album and i find it very enjoyable.

great - include 4 or 5 you think will put forward a convincing argument for inclusion, basically the tracks with what you consider the most "prog" - you can send me the links via my pm if you wish!Smile i can then pass them up to the appropriate genre team.
