Why is the Roger Dean Contest still continueing even though a winner has been selected? This really casts my doubts as to whether or not Mr. Dean is actually involved with this site. I have been a fan of this artist since childhood and would think it an insult to the man if this web-site is seeking to exploit his great contributions to the progressive rock world as well as his immense artistic talent with or without progressive rock music.

I need some evidence before I will participate in this contest.

I smell a fish.

Feel free to contact me through my e-mail, PM or my website.

Sincerely and Hohnestly,

Ian Gledhill (AKA vibrationbaby)

I wish I could've taken part, but I hadn't joined the forums in time
And Jesus said unto John, "come forth and receive eternal life..."
Unfortunately, John came fifth and was stuck with a toaster.

Where did you get the idea that a winner has been selected?

VB:

The contest is quite real, and continues.  The deadline for entries is January 31, 2005, so no winner has yet been chosen.  You are still free to enter.  Simply read the guidelines in the announcement thread and submit an entry.

We have received quite a few entries, some of the them quite good.  We await further entires before making a decision.  We expect that decision to be a hard one.

Peace.

OK OK OK . I am  a believer. I think that Roger himself should have some sort of say regarding this competition for reasons which should be obvious. I will submit my essay in the hopes that Mr. Dean himself has the opportunity to view it himself.

RESPECTFULLY,

vibrationbaby.
