Topic: See me, what I am, what I was, what I'll be... Posted: December 27 2006 at 19:34 |
Sorry 'bout the overly pretentious topic title, just felt that quoting a song lyric would be better than the generic "Hey, I'm new here!" topic title. Either way, the name's Alex, and I'm assuming I'll be one of the younger members here, just several months short of 17. I'm into all kinds of experimental music, and always welcome to suggestions on new music to listen to, although symphonic prog remains my consistent favorite. I've been into prog since I was 12 when I picked up a copy of The Yes Album, thinking the album art looked cool. As rediculous a reason as it may be, it changed my entire musical outlook. So yeah, my favorite bands include Gentle Giant, Yes, Spock's Beard, Genesis, Van Der Graaf Generator, Phish, Radiohead, and David Bowie (whose Berlin Triliogy was just shown to me by a friend). I'm a major organ/mellotron junkie, but I guess that shows in my choices. Well, can't really think of anything else interesting to write about myself, so I look forward to becoming a regular here. See ya round! ^^ -Alex
