Are there any besides the gorgeous yet fusak Candy Dulfer or Mary Fettig? Specially looking for women in the more traditional jazz vein or jazz-rock/funk (not much smooth, though bring those too if you like).

Barbara Thompson!! Check out Paraphenalia (with hubby Jon Hiseman playing drums!)

e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cry-Heart-Live-Barbara-Thompson/dp/B00002MYFR

And the all woman saxophone group Tommy Tiptons Memorial Saxophone Quartet - featuring the talented Amy Denio - who perhaps better known for her bass playing and as a vocalist.

Although not really looking for smooth jazz but hey any female sax fiend is welcome... curiously I think I'd heard the name Barbara Thompson before; though I seem to had forgotten.

I recommend the Joe Farrell web site ,in this site appears the bestswomans in saxophon,,trombon, trumpet, guitar, violin, piano, flute, arp.etc but in jazz only

in saxophon are:
Virginia Mayhew
Jane Bunnet
Tineke Postma Quartet
Larissa  Lockett
Claire Daly
Jessica Lurie
Ingrid Laubrock

Jane Bunnet have a special recommendation,the album..Rendezvous Brazil/Cuba

In other instrument I am curious about Ana Caram a Brazilian female in guitar in brazilian jazz style, ..Joe Farrell recommend she.

I remember seeing a female saxophonist playing with Roxy Music at Live8, does anyone know who she was?

Just curious!

I was going to say Barbara Thompson too.
