That's getting close to Terry Bozzio proportions... Does Peart really need all of that stuff?

Of course not. It just looks really f**king cool.
If anyone has ever seen Neil Peart playing live, you would see that he uses every bit of it.I miss the big gong that he used to have.

And the tubular bells.

not nearly as cool as the gold plated ones last time around. I was hoping to see those beauties live again.

Oh dear - Neil's not aging too well, is he...?

I'm sure the current kit is considerably smaller than the one he used to have, when there was a full double bass acoustic setup, with full Simmons kit (that dates it!) behind, plus miscellaneous percussion.

As far as whther he needs it - of course not - so long as you don't mind him being unable to duplicate the studio work on stage.

Or would you prefer he always stuck to his original kit:

Looks like Neil gave Geddy a few fashion tips

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

For those interested, on Neil's website http://www.neilpeart.net/, a remastered version of just the drum portion of The Main Monkey Business has been posted.  Give it a listen.

Just because you use all the parts of the kit doesn't mean you actually need all of those parts.

What in the heck is your beef with Neil's drum kit?

So what if he has a lot of parts to it.  He likes it that way and he uses it.  It is your blasted opinion that he doesn't need it all.  Obviously he thinks he needs it.  I agree with him.
