I recieved this e-mail from www.tullworld.com today:

Quote New Jethro Tull / Ian Solo Album Slated for Fall 2007 Release

Ian Anderson has recently given us some detail on a new "Jethro Tull" album to come this fall. During an interview with the UK magazine "Acoustic", Ian mentions that "...at this particular point in time, it is my intention that there will be three or four tracks [on the new album] that will feature a chamber orchestra and there will be some acoustic music and some electric music, so it will be fairly eclectic and unfocused rather than rekindle prog-rock moments from 1972". Ian is noncommittal as to whether this will be a Jethro Tull album or a solo album, mentioning that there will be a "Jethro Tull component" to it. Look for the album to be released this September.


Should this actually happen and not be just covering old goodies or redoing acoustic classics, I'd be utterly thrilled. Sounds pretty awesome, doesn't it? :D

Maybe he will play some new material in november at the Jethro Tull show at la Place Des Arts.
 
This is something to check next fall.

I would like to see a "proper" Tull album considering that the Christmas album only had a few new songs on it and prior to that the last real release was J Tull dot com.
