Good news from the Dgm website:

The Great Deceiver Rides Again

:: Posted by Sid Smith on Tue., Aug 28, 2007
The Great Deceiver is to be reissued in October as two 2CD sets with new artwork. Containing all the original diaries & notes from the original editions & including (for completists & the curious) a link to a digital pdf scan of the original box & interior art, the track listing remains unchanged.

Obviously if you already have the set, there's absolutely no need to get this one. If however it passed you by and you don't want to shell out ludicrous amounts of money on a well-known auction site then this is the jimmy for you. There'll be more details nearer its scheduled release.

Thats ironic...I was just about to order this set.

I'll wait it out now. Hopefully they will be cheaper.

21st Century guide is no where near as good as The Great Deciever!

This package is live stuff and impros from 1973 / 1974!

The other is just a compilation of mainly studio recordings throughout the years

The Crims are a hell of a lot better live.

The site says nothing about this but I suppose it will be available in the shops and on the net

Thanks paulindigo.. Very excited about this purchase.. I have waited many years for this to be re-released.  Good idea splitting the 4 CDs into 2 CD sets, as the 4 CD set used to cost a lot of money.

This will no doubt cost about £18 for the 2 CD set.

October happens to be the month of my birthday (HINT HINT) lol
