    Hello all,

I am search of a band i listened to about 6 years ago... I don't know their name... and I am trying to find out:

things i know:
-the cd was somewhat of a rock opera
-it was 70's or early 80's
-male singer
-One song on the album had to do with a ship (sailing) and how the captain goes down with the ship
-One song was about a land of ice, or an ice age of sorts.
-One song would play into another
-The album was given to me by someone who thought I would like it because i was heavily into Pink Floyd ~ they are somewhat similar.
-I do not believe that it is an American band.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Wes

I googled some of the words and came up with...

ICE cream for crow by CAPTAIN Beefheart

I bet that's not it.

I was going to say: HOUNDS OF LOVE by Kate Bush (partly about a woman drowning underneath the ice) but the singer is as female as they come!

Wonder who's got the answer. Anything to do with Alan Parsons?

heh. not quite fuxi.

I looked up Alan Parsons and thats not it. I believe that the band has a name (is not the name of a member of the band.) if that makes sense.

thanks,
Wes

One that immediately springs to mind is Wake of Magellan by Savatage, except that it's 90s and American and has a storm not an iceberg and is nothing like Pink Floyd Clown

Ermm The 70s/80s and Floyd-a-like gives hints towards Eloy and Ocean.
What?
