For which artist did Robert Fripp play lead guitar on tour, on his condition he never appeared on stage, and would play sitting on a stool behind the PA?

Wasn't that with Bowie, or maybe Peter Gabriel. I think he billed himself as Dusty Rhoades, or somehting like that. Late 70's tour.

I remember a friend of mine saw the concert tour in '75/'76, I was a real KC freak and he rubbed it in my face that Fripp was the guitarist and I didn't go. 
As far as Bowie, I new Fripp and Eno were there for the LOW era.
Ever here Fripp on the Talking Heads stuff?

[/QUOTE] No - I know that Belew was with them for a while, but didn't know Fripp got involved as well..... what albums? Back to Bowie (in a way) - the last time I saw KC, 18 months ago, they encored with a storming version of 'Heroes' which they somehow managed to segue into 'Larks Tongues'.....

Yeah Adrian got around a lot in the late 70s-late 80s. (For good reason!) One of my fave guitarists. Saw him live 3 times, twice solo (with band) and once with the excellent and essential BEARS! Great stuff -- Adrian is unique! Check out the two BEARS albums -- infectious, intelligent pop ( not prog!)

Hey, I was cleaning out some old forgotten cassetes and came across the Bears, Jeff Berlin's two releases and some Kazumi Watanabe. I forgot I had these. Time to Transfer. BTW, the Berlin stuff with Geddy Lee and Neil Peart isn't what one would think. Peart and Lee play some half hearted fusion, no real stretches. It also sounds dated, 80's pop fusion... The Kazumi Watanabe stuff is hot. A Japanese Jeff Beck. OUCH!!!!!
