Favourite almost prog bands

Some of my favourite bands seem almost progressive but not quite. They were defenently agains't the styles of mainstream music for their time however. This is asking your favourite bands that are not quite prog as well as discussing whether or not you would consider these to be progressive rock bands. Then, in no particular order:
