Yes MP, and I'm sure "Shock the Monkey" would have a at least a couple of votes if it wasn't so maligned.

Yeah, that is odd that it doesn't have any... I think it's actually a good song, personally. |

San Jacinto. Goosebump territory closely followed by In Your Eyes. Love that song live with all the band doing the backing vox. Appropriate that Tony Levin does the barritone.

The Family and the Fishing Net. As I wrote in my review:
"Possibly the most obscure of GABRIEL'S lyrics, this chilling song about sex and marriage presages his preoccupation with gender trouble on subsequent albums. And I do mean chilling. His use of metaphor here paints an extraordinarily frightening picture of the all-consuming nature of love, comparing marriage to an occult rite, and again the music matches his vision. Such rhythms, such soundscapes were what GABRIEL was born to deliver." From the same album 'The Rhythm and the Heat' and 'San Jacinto' are outstanding tracks. The man is a superb talent, and what a lovely smoky voice he has. |

San Jacinto, especially the version from "Peter Gabriel plays live". Most songs of the first album, "White Shadow", "Biko", "Come Talk to Me" and "Only Us" are also excellent.

"I don't remember, I don't recall, I have no memory , of anything at all" Big burping bass, thunder drums , howling banshee voices. Yup, this really gets me going!

Probably Solsbury Hill, but they're all pretty good rock songs (not really prog, but still good).

There are only 25 slots Chopper (I used all), but there's an other option for everybody to explain.
