Hi

I'd like to introduce you a band I discovered a few months ago by surfing on the web... It's called Acanthe, it's a french band who whas active mid and late 70's, who haven't received the success they should have... :)

Acanthe's myspace

You can read more about them on their myspace, they release some records but I think if you find one you are a lucky guy. :)

So this is the unique place where you can listen their music. They add one in the month/two month... They removed my favourites a couple of week ago, I do not know why... So their are only 3 songs for the moment...

Enjoy it, Dandywalker.

That is excellent.  Thanks for sharing.  I'm going to suggest that this be moved to Suggest New Bands since this is very obviously Prog, and if records have been released, then it should be in the archives.  Do you know what albums were released?  I think  this could be a good Eclectic addition.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Okay, thanks for doing that!  We'd have to establish albums commercially realeased before formally considering them for inclusion (not that you were suggesting it for inclusion anyway, that was my idea), but I sure hope there is because this is one hell of a find!  If he's adding more material, I expect that a CD or mp3 compilation will be made available at one of the commercial mp3 download sites.

It's a great recommendation!  I'd come across it on myspace before but had never given it the time it deserved despite being impressed.  Thanks again.  I'm really intrigued by this one -- some of the music had sounded very familiar to me, though, I remember.

No, and its a shame that discussion died here.  I would have been okay with it in Eclectic, but you can see what my concerns regarding addition were, and even the proposer could not provide the relevant info.

EDIT: Note that this topic was not placed in this forum originally (in Unsigned bands I think -- perhaps because of the lack of studio albums), but it was I who suggested that it be moved (perhaps I was wrong to do so).  I'll research it more later, unless more discography info is presented by another in the meantime.
