Where would the band fit best, in your opinion?
And can you please provide some links (official site, myspace, sites with samples, etc.)?

There's an extreme metal band from the US called Tea Garden, I wonder if you meant The Tea Party.

The Tea Club is a slightly more refined sub-section of the Shed, Riccy...LOL
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

there was a band with Tea in their name which I heard once and which I thought would be a fitting addition, but I have to admit I forgot whether it was The Tea Party or Tea Garden. the one I had listen to had a lot of oriental influences

It was about The Tea Party.  I happened to read your post earlier today (edit: my mistake, that was BaldFriede -- I do get you two mixed up).  There have been a number of topics about the band:

Yes, if any of these bands would be suggested by Sheddists, I would be suspicious that you all finally pursuit the dream of making music...Wink (supposedly prog Wink)

...oh, we have Tea For Two in Eclectic. Big%20smile

but seriously now, how about some samples/info regarding Tea Garden and maybe a suggestion for what genre...?

Friede and I had heard a radio feature about them, on WDR 3 even, a station that normally only broadcasts classical, jazz and ethnic music, though they have a little space for other music they think is interesting. and their music sounded very interesting indeed in that feature. so we thought we should suggest them. but I had forgotten who actually posted the suggestion

Yes, the Tea party. I think I need a cup of Tea to wake me up.
