I don't want to seem to be barefaced, but I was wondering why you won't put up the whole album for free download on archive.org? Prog-listeners (such as myself) are album-listeners. I've downloaded the demo of your newest album and enjoyed it very much and will very likely buy the CD - but I dislike the idea of downloading only half of the Eris-album and not getting the whole picture. Where's the use in half an album?

Yes, I know, you want to sell your CDs. Yes, I know, how much they cost in the production. But as you've decided to put some of your stuff up for free (and a right and good idea that is to promote your music, believe me) - why don't take the whole step and offer the complete "Eris" for free download. I bought lots of stuff, after I've listened to it completely and only rarely after having listened to just a couple of songs or - even worse - 30-seconds-samples.

Just think about it Tongue

Also I noticed that your stuff is badly tagged (with keywords) on archive.org - at least "Baku Llama" should be one regular keyword, don't you think?

Greetings from Germany,

Ü.

and ... happy new year to all of you.

Uersal...  Your wish is my command...  stay tuned and I will have the rest of the album up soon.  You are so right... offering a progger half an album is like offering an Austrian half a bratwurst. Confused

LOL Big smile

Poor austrians Wink

and lucky proggers (like me) to be able to listen to the whole Eris-album. Yikes! Thank you... I'm really looking forward to it ... and I will post a nice little feedback here.

OK they are all here.  I will keep them up for awhile,  thanks to everyone who gave us a listen.

In hindsight I personally would have preferred this album to have less songs on it...  I would personally have left out  Punch it,  and torrential,  but whats done is done and some people have said they like those songs.  Our next album should be out sometime in 2009 when David is finished mastering it.  Baku Llama has no money to spend on promotion so that has been left up to me...  I am not good at it.  Many times when I have posted on sites to advertise  ERIS I have been called a spammer and other things.  Seems a lot of music fans prefer a thousand dollar magazine ad  or a radio spot to one of the band members trying to promote their own works.

To anyone who would demean a band or it's members for trying to get the word out about a project they put so much work and love into, I say  "Do you have anything other than bad vibes to offer"?  maybe an album of your own??

Self promotion is a difficult and sometimes embarrassing task and I would not do it if we could afford all it takes to pull off some sort of advertising campaign,  so for now all you get is me saying "Give us a listen"  You don't have to like the music ,  but you might.   I personaly feel this abum has a lot of interesting and  oddly beautiful new inroads  to offer anyone who takes the time to listen.

In March Baku llama will reconvene to jam and put some new tracks together as well.  We now live 1200 miles away from each other and getting together to play is difficult. We hope you enjoy ERIS and if you want the original CD they are available at  http://cdbaby.com/cd/bakullama2

Thnks to everyone who helped us along with this

Rick Ann & Dave

Thank you for offering the album - I'm downloading the stuff right now. I can't find "Torrential" - under http://www.archive.org/details/BakuLlama-Torrential there's "Tragic Mask" (which can also be found under http://www.archive.org/details/BakuLlama-TragicMask). Any chance to fix this?

I'm currently listening to "Tragic Mask" and I really love it. How come nobody (well, almost nobody) has noticed you before?

When the last song is up, I will post a news with all the links to Germany's biggest prog-mailing list [progrock-dt] and to our news-section <www.progrock-dt.de> which will probably help a little to spread the word.

Thanks for this Valdez, we owe you one. I did notice while downloading that the link to Torrential actually contains the audio file for Tragic Mask?

I will fix that asap... Thanks guys

OK IT"S  TORRENTIAL NOW.  I guess I mied up the file.   There is the whole album.
I visited www.progrock-dt.de  and it looks like a real good site that features some of the more avant garde bands and not so much metal...  We are happy to be on your website!

You can give ERIS for free at  www.progrock-dt.de  also if you want!

Oh, now that would be really great. Tongue

If you confirm, I will put all Eris-tracks into one zip-Archiv, load the archive-file onto some filehost and spread the link via our news-section. I will add some infos about you (and the creative-commons-license if you wish).
Oh, can you post some infos about you and your music here. So I could write a little article or something similar.

The [progrock-dt] is indeed a avant-friendly community and not that much into mainstream-prog or metal. I guess most of us got a little bored by the usual prog-stuff.

Sal

ps. On the other hand: Don't expect too much... - we're rather small - roundabout 600 subscribers and most of them *read only* - but we've got some very dedicated fans involved.
