They've been submitted a few times but IIRC they never got evaluated. Though their music is predominantly metal, they combine and defy genres to almost Frank Zappa-like extremes. Many of their songs are rather long with lots of twists and turns, with a very otherworldly atmosphere running through pretty much all they do. They also cite lots of progressive rock bands as influences in interviews and liner notes. (I own their album Bathos, which has recently become a personal favourite of mine) Some examples of their music, all of the songs full-length IIRC, can be heard on their MySpace.

They were rejected some time ago, but I'll check into them.

What was the reason? I don't remember any replies to the old Aarni thread in the forum... Confused

I don't think any of the new members of the PMT including me have heard the band or at least had any part in their rejection...personally I wouldn't have any problem re-evaluating the band.

A week has passed... did you guys ever reach a consensus on Aarni?

Sorry for the late response...but as I've been noted since rejoining the team...that the PMT is currently focusing on finishing adding the list of bands that have been cleared. I'm not sure if the other members would like to re-evaluate the band...so I won't promise anything.Wink
