Topic: Images - why all so blurry? Posted: May 18 2009 at 21:22 |
Why are most of the images (artists, album covers) blurry? I recall them being smaller before, but now they look bad. Would it be a good idea to let the members change blurry images?

You mean album covers? Well, some time ago all covers had to be 200x200 pixels in order to get uploaded for the album page. Since then, I think at some point M@x implemented a larger "box" for album covers which force the 200x200 pixels images to enlarge, therefore you see the pixels. I would rather have the initial size of 200x200 restored back, instead of changing the smaller and now blurry covers with new, larger ones. There are thousands of albums in the database, that would mean A LOT of work...

Aw, man, I was going to make a joke about maybe try cleaning your glasses. By the way, that insect has compound eyes. I don't think those glasses would be very effective.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

.... album cover are strech , yes to 300x300 ! But with the new generation of browers Firefox, Chrome, IE7+, Safari they use a special algodithm to strech them while limiting the blurriness.
Tell me , what browser are you using Prospero ?
