It seems that the most popular album of the last days is "Beggar's Opera - Get Your Dog Off Me"

Actually I needed to do a forum search about this subject, as its been bugging me.....

The MOST POPULAR ALBUM section seems entirely irrelevant. Today it shows a Dream Theater Official Bootleg with only 2 ratings..... yesterday it was The Lifeline Project's 2009 album (which not many people seem to really care about, it has warranted only 1 four-star rating) ....... the day before that, it was The Alan Parson's Project "Tales of Mystery and Imagination- Edgar Allan Poe" which really hasn't ever been that relatively popular on this site.

What's the deal? What is the purpose of this large section of the home page? A chance to promote irrelevant albums? The feature made much more sense to me when "The Great Misdirect" by BtBaM or "Part the Second" by Maudlin of the Well, or the new Transatlantic album, or the new Magma album was in it...... is it a buggy algorithm? Wold it be easier to just place the #1 album of the year (Magma's) in that slot? Wouldn't that make more sense?

^Popularity =/= quality, and the same applies for this site.

The most popular album is the album with the views over a 24 hour period, NOT the best rated.

Same applies for the top 40 artists on PA - Just because a band has bad reviews, doesn't mean their page isn't visited a lot.
