Two and a half years down the line, and this band now has a new album out called 'Songs Of Love And Disaster'

So what exactly happened to them last time round?

Inside Again

A bit of a rollercoaster ride, which ended up with them falling off!  Ouch

A bit more info - roughly translated from the myspace link given in the o.p. http://www.myspace.com/insideagain

INSIDE AGAIN was formed in April/May 2009 in Warsaw/Poland, by Marek Godłoza (Bass), Łukasz Naumowicz (Guitar, Keyboard) and Maciek Apt (Guitar). With this line-up they recorded three songs in Serakos Studio: “WILL YOU COME” (instrumental), “RUNAWAY” (instrumental with an electronic drum beat) and a cover of The Cure - “A FOREST”, in which Ania P., from the band “Żywiołak” sang. They were joined by members of the open collective project 'terenNowy.info' - Arkadiusz Czyżewski (drums), Artur Szolc (ethnics), Robert Srzednicki (keyboards & electronics), who all played as guest musicians in that session. Soon the band was joined by drummer Marek Veith (from “AMUSE ME”). Finally, after long hard search for a vocalist, the line up was completed by Michal Deptuła (from “EXPERIENCE”). During November and December 2009 more tracks were recorded at Serakos Studio under the supervision of Robert Srzednickich Magda. At the end of the year, the material for the first CD was ready. Also, in this session Robert Srzednicki played keyboards, Artur Szolc played the ethnics, and Robert Rochon from “AMUSE ME” played guitar on his own composition.

In April 2010, the group signed a contract with the independent label Lynx Music from Krakow to release their first album. The album "End Of The Beginning" appears on the market in May 2010 and contains 9 original songs.

1. Will You Come (7:07)
2. Untouchables (4:46)
3. Under Control (4:56)
4. Good Believer (4:38)
5. One Second (5:56)
6. Runaway (5:06)
7. Isolation (5:31)
8. Chaos (6:06)
9. Last Exit (2:04)

INSIDE AGAIN music is energetic rock with a characteristic "dirty" sound, with elements of metal and spatial climates generated by electronics. Lyrically, the album describes the madness of our times from the perspective of a man trying to find his place in society. It received very positive and favorable reviews in magazines and websites dealing with music (eg. NOW ROCK, ArtRock, ProgRock, RockArea, MLWZ.)

During the tour to promote "End Of The Beginning", the band performed with such bands as CLOSTERKELLER, ROOFLIGHTS, VOTUM or MECH - there was also a concert live in the studio RADIO PIK of Bydgoszcz, and the band was a finalist at the "Brewery Rock Festival" in Zywiec. They also recorded a video for the song "Isolation", which was directed by Sebastian Korczak.

In January 2011, Inside Again goes back to Serakos Studio to record new material, in order to release the second album. During the session they wrote 9 songs. The number of tracks is of course not accidental as you will also see in the near future. The band is now augmented by Paweł Potocki on keyboards and very importantly, it establishes a very fruitful collaboration with Monika Kurowska, who becomes the band's manager.
The new album is called "Songs Of Love & Disaster", and was released in mid-September 2012 by Lynx Music.

This follow-up retains a good mix of atmospheric rock, heavy metal riffs and electronic sounds, this time in an even more compact and energy as well as an even greater dose of musical eclecticism. This is a natural development of ideas from the debut, enriched with new musical direction, which the band explores more boldly. "Songs Of Love & Disaster" is a nine-track lyrical love-apocalyptic story. The title refers to both disaster realm of the personal and global symbolism associated with the year 2012.

1. Something More (3:47)
2. The Only One (6:02)
3. Nowhere Land (3:51)
4. End Of The Night (4:31)
5. Too Late (4:10)
6. The Great Collapse (7:17)
7. Anything More Than This (4:39)
8. Never Come Here (4:01)
9. Your Lies, Our Truth (4:13)

Michał Deptuła - vocals
Marek Veith - drums
Marek Godłoza - bass
Maciek Apt - guitar
Paweł Potocki - keyboards
Łukasz Nauhowicz - guitar, electronics

There is a 5-minute montage of all nine songs from "Songs Of Love & Disaster" at the myspace link given in the o.p. http://www.myspace.com/insideagain, along with a full sample of track 8: 'Anything More Than This'.

Here are tracks one and three on YouTube:

I can't really see this going anywhere other than in Crossover, but because the band has been rejected once already by that team, it would need a unanimous favourable decision second time round (based purely on the new material).

Edit: I've mentioned this new album in the Crossover team thread, so no further action is necessary from the New Suggestions team. Embarrassed

Mr PhideauxFan - maybe you could add the word 'Crossover' in to your topic title, and we might be able to bring this one back to the table for one last try? Ermm
