Seeing has how he's only put out a couple of albums this should be easy. LOL
I'm going with Albedo.  Heaven and Hell a close second.   The sountrack for Bladerunner was fantastic.  I know some like Beuborg and Mythhodia, but you can count me out.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

That one just totally didn't click with me.  I refuse to slam stuff that doesn't.  It's just the way music works sometimes.

I realize Vangelis gets diss'd a lot.  But Blade Runner is a freakin' great Progg'ish album.

Ideally I would like to see the votes more evenly spread.

Heaven and Hell although featuring inspired use of the English Chamber Choir is overall a disjointed effort (imo)

Blade Runner has some very beautifull stuff but again its jjust too disjointed to be a masterpeice.

Vangelis masterpeices for me are
Mask
China
El Greco
Soil Festivities

Of his most prog sounding albums I prefer Direct and Spiral over Heaven and Hell and Albedo 0.39

Voices also has some wonderful dreamy stuff perfect for headphones and more 'together' than Blade Runner.

Albedo 0.39

If it weren't for that, I might go for BR or even Direct, which, IMO, is the last 'great' Vangelis recording and very underrated. A nice surprise when it appeared 22 years ago (yikes!).
