You know, there was a time when I was enamored of the sight-gag-laden parody genre (of which Airplane! was the first and is still the best), and I did see the first 3 Scary Movies, but too many lazy and mediocre parody movies pretty much cured me of it.  I'd say either the first or second was the best, but I don't really feel compelled to see them again to verify.

Film is a rather generous word to apply to Scary Movie.

Scary Movie film series sounds better and makes more legible sense than Scary Movie movie series.

"Scary Movie is a 2000 comedy-parody film directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, as part of Wayans Bros. Entertainment. It is an American dark comedy which heavily parodies the horror, slasher, and mystery genres." (Emphasis mine.)

"The Scary Movie series" is succinct and clear, but I was just being snarky because they're terrible. :P

I enjoy 3 and 4 mostly because of Leslie Nielsen. They all have funny moments but I can't say i'd want to watch any of them again.

I just watched the first one and it was already too much for my poor, delicate, tender mind.

1. The first one.
2. The one with Charlie Sheen

There are no other Scary Movies in the series.

Scary Movie 3 made me laugh the most out of these. Enjoy'em all though.

I love the series. The first two have the wayans bros humor and are obviously more in your face raunchy where as the last two use different humor (had Charlie Sheen and the president Leslie Nielson ). I'd say I like the first one the most.
So the order is 1>2>3>4. So they get slightly worse. But two and three are really close. 4 is obviously my least favorite. I probably like three's parody set up the best. One is just classic. Two has the funniest gags but only slightly over 1 and 3.
