PROGARCHIVES.COM HOSTING EXCLUSIVE STREAM OF NEW TANGENT SONG

NEW ALBUM "COMM" AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 27th ON INSIDEOUT MUSIC

THE TANGENT have managed to re-invent themselves so many times that it's hard to count all the people who have been in it. But every lineup has succeeded in delivering top class Progressive Rock music, usually far more on target than many of the reformed "big name" bands from the 70s. Their six studio albums for Insideout Music are a strong testament to that claim, and anyone whose heart was won over by "Foxtrot" but was deeply disappointed by "We Can't Dance"should look at this remarkable band from England who have persisted in making the difficultmusical choices and keeping true to Prog Rock's original spirit while keeping it fresh and relevant to now.

Progressive Rock Music hub ProgArchives.com is hosting an exclusive stream of a new track from the from "COMM".  Get a first listen to the track "The Mind's Eye" at http://www.progarchives.com/mp3.asp?id=5436

"COMM" is an album with a theme about modern communications. There are mentionīs of the sinking of the TITANIC (almost 100 years ago) which Tillison feels is a very important moment in the history of communications.

"COMM" has taken 2 years to write and record. The cover artwork marks a return to the popular partnership between The Tangent and Belarussian artist Ed Unitsky. "COMM" will be released in 3 editions, a special edition with 2 bonus tracks (one of which is an unusual cover version) which will be released in a limited first pressing digipak edition. And there will also be a limited 180 g VINYL edition with a gatefold sleeve.

THE TANGENT Line-Up:

Current Line Up:

Andy Tillison - keyboards and vocals
Jonathan Barrett - Bass Guitar and vocals
Luke Machin - Guitar and vocals
*Tony Latham - Drums

The band are joined as usual by Soft Machine/Gong wind player Theo Travis (Sax & Flute) on the new album.

*Nick Rickwood played the drums with us during the Spring of 2011 while Tony Latham was away. This includes the album "COMM".
