I'll agree with David, that's exactly like it sounds to me, I'd only
mention the strong Fusion component too (especially the last segment of
the first side and the beginning of the second). The vocal lines are
very mundane, but they were very ambitious instrumentally and in what
composition was concerned. Overall they sound a lot like S.B.B, which is
why Eclectic would be my first choice; I'll notify the team.
Nope, that's the whole thing right there. I found out that there are smaller sections with titles within the song though, so the track listing would be this:
1.Half A Million Hours Of Symphony: 1) Overture (2:57) 2) Movement (Birth) (5:50) 3) Movement (Puberty) (6:40) 4) Movement (Adult Age) (6:47) 5) Movement (Old Age) (8:56) 6) Movement (Death) (4:22)
It's been issued as a vinyl (CLP4206), but I don't know if any new editions have come up on CD. I think the label is Denmark Circle Records or just Circle Records.

Seems like another of those albums that lie somewhere in the muddy waters that ebb between Symphonic, Eclectic and Crossover. It's definitely 100% prog though, and pretty decent prog too. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it was either Symphonic or Eclectic (perhaps leaning slightly toward the former) rather than Crossover, but I wouldn't want to try and be any more specific than that.
As the crazy electro-mechanical creation that starred in a 1986 sci-fi comedy/adventure called "Short Circuit" once said..."Malfunction - need input!!"
