These guys started out as a post grunge band, but now they right very intricate technical pop rock sounding songs. They are a band that really have progressed to an amazing band, especially the last 3 albums they made.

I love 'em! - But they are right on the borderline between Alt Rock and Prog to my ears - but then again so are 'The Fall Of Troy'...! Andy is the Heavy Prog expert on here, and also the guy who monitors this forum - I'm sure he'll put us right on the matter later on this evening. Smile

Eh, Fall of Troy is prog mainly because of their aggressive experimental style (kind of like The Mars Volta but with less Latin influence). These guys are pretty much just hard rock with an artistic edge.

these guys do write very intricate instrumental sections and some of their musicianship is very virtuostic, but all within great song structures and using harmony and melody to its full degree. their new album is definitly a prog album
