Topic: Elitist Black Metal Posted: June 14 2012 at 08:58 |
What's your favorite anti-human misanthropic "all humans are scum" "we live in the middle of nowhere and dont talk to anyone but each other and do satantic rituals" elitist black metal? A lot of these bands are the ones that claim to have "NO MUSICAL INFLUENCES" and they might have like 2 or 3 interviews on the internet. (Which is bullcrap, how can you have no musical influences if you sound like other black metal bands?)
I have been listening to Mork Gryning a lot. Tus Ar Ha something something is a great album.
Another pretty good example is Lucifugum, Deathspell Omega, etc. (Lugifugum stated in an interview at some point that deathspell isnt even elitist because their dude owns a shop and sells overpriced rare black metal albums to rich black metal fans, so i guess they aren't black enough Haha I guess real black metal people are supposed to not talk to anyone and just cause pain upon their human bodies to get closer to being unhuman and worship satan only or some crap) But yea- gimme some good Elitist Black Metal

Gorgoroth and Marduk are probably the most hateful elitist kvlt black metal I've heard, but their music isn't very interesting. Deathspell Omega has the perfect balance of interesting music and hatefully philosophical lyrics. Blut Aus Nord is also really awesome, but their new stuff definitely isn't elitist in any way.

Lucifugum is pretty sweet if you can overlook AWFUL production. One of their albums from 2002 or 2003 was a final plight of one of their members that died. He knew he was dying and he literally skipping sleeping for months to complete the album and died only a week or so after they completed it. That's what got me into them. That album specifically is very awesome symphonic black metal.
And yea, Marduk is pretty dang ridiculous. I think they say he made the band with the idea of making the most blasphemous music possible. Haha. I find that comical.

Whoa, that Lucifugum album sounds like something I need to listen to. What's the name of the album?

Ondskapt's Dodens Evangelium is an awesome album. Their first album didn't so much for me though except for the cool intro. Haven't heard their most recent album Arisen From The Ashes yet.

My favorite black metal is that closest to its origins. I don't need avant-garde or prog in my simple music. Give me Darkthrone, Gorgoroth, Immortal, Burzum, etc.
