DRUMMER DAVE WAGSTAFFE LEAVES LANDMARQ

After twenty-two years with Landmarq, drummer Dave Wagstaffe has taken the tough decision to move on from the band. We are naturally very sorry to announce this news and needless to say will be very sad to lose someone who has been an extremely valuable band member and a good friend. As one of the band’s founding members Dave will always be a part of the Landmarq family. 

The decision to move on came about due to his increasing workload with Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash, who Dave has also been drumming for, over the past three years. It was becoming increasingly difficult for Dave to maintain 100% commitment to both bands, given their respective live work, and it was obvious there would eventually be a clash of concert dates. Dave therefore realized a difficult decision had to be made.

It goes without saying that we all wish Dave the very best with MTWA and wish him well for the future.

We are currently in the process of auditioning drummers and have already narrowed down a short-list of players who would be capable of taking on the mammoth task of learning the wealth of material in the band's catalogue, with particular emphasis on the bands much-acclaimed latest album, “Entertaining Angels”. Of course, we'll be looking for someone who fits into the Landmarq family, though we’ll also be looking forward to them bringing their own talents to the music, too. Certainly exciting times!

We expect to announce the new band member soon and will go on to start some intensive rehearsals, ready in time for our forthcoming UK and European live dates in November 2012, February 2013 and beyond.
