Brand new band on Basick Records, an exclusively prog label that is bringing some great things from the underground djent/math metal scenes!
Bandcamp for streaming: http://music.basickrecords.com/album/thrones Very technical and demanding songwriting here. By the way, that link is for all the music from Basick Records, so I encourage you to check them out; plenty of those other artists shall be making their way here soon enough

Yeah, I gotta admit - I was quite impressed by this crew as well. However, as you scroll down to the bottom of this thread you will discover that not everybody was... !!

Hey there CoolJimmi.
We would very much appreciate it, if you could prepare your suggestions a little bit better. Just like Yam did when he first suggested this artist. I mean, you just went ape-faeces on us all yesterday and while some of these acts may be eligible for PA, you definitely need to brush up on the way you suggest them. I generally look the other way, but when we're talking of that many acts all proposed from the same guy, no bios, no real insight into why you think they should be here, pics, vids etc, then you cannot be certain the team picks it up. Anyway, I think you've been here long enough to arrange a serious suggestion. Reading this post back, I realise I come off as an old fart, but try to think about all of this from the other side. There goes a great deal of work into band editions, and when teams such as the metal one that gets new suggestions all the time, suddenly get another of these 'waves', it can very quickly become something of a chore to visit the site. None of us gets paid for this, so we expect people who really want X band included to do their homework too

I used to write longer bios of each band, paste in what others thought of them, and post at least 3 videos of each band, as well as linking their last.fm, bandcamp, and myspace pages. Just take a look at any of my older suggestions, they all fit the bill for what you're asking for.
However, the PA systems that allow me to post videos no longer work, hyperlinks are barely operational for me, and, most importantly, I see many other prolific suggesters (not a word, but trucking on regardless) who put down a single sentence, a couple of links, and an emoticon, and call it good. I do not see any obvious repercussions on their suggestions; one prominent one being Svetonio, who clearly works his ass off at getting bands that deserve to be here on here, but many of his (older) posts contained pretty much what I just described. I did not think it was a big deal, especially since I had 12 new artists I had just found and really dug, which meant a deal of work on my end. But, if that is what is expected of me, then I shall revert to my old anal and diligent ways
