Hi,

I go with Atom's list on the other blog he put together by year.

It's not 100% complete, but 95% is better than anything out there ... although i wish that some of the "lesser" ones had as many listens as Genesis or ELP ... I think we would find that those much lower ranked bands would get more credit than otherwise!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

I felt like making a second list of non-prog choices. Don't ask me why. What ended up surprising me when I put this together is that I only love two non-prog albums from '74, at least currently.

1970: Paranoid – Black Sabbath
1971: Maggot Brain – Funkadelic
1972: The World Is A Ghetto – War
1973: (Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd) – Lynyrd Skynyrd
1974: On The Beach – Neil Young
1975: Mothership Connection – Parliament
1976: Hotel California – Eagles/Frampton Comes Alive! – Peter Frampton
1977: Suicide – Suicide
1978: Dub Housing – Pere Ubu
1979: Unknown Pleasures – Joy Division
