I second both of these shouts, I can never make it to the end of either of these anymore..

If so:
Yes - Tales
KC - Discipline
Genesis - The Lamb
ELP in general
Pink Floyd - Meddle

Most - if not all - Rush doesn't sit well with me. I've been told several times that one of my previous bands sounded influenced by Rush. Go figure.

Jethro Tull - A Passion Play - This is a good album, but not great. I don't understand why it rates so highly among prog fans. It must be the fact that it's a record long epic. I would list it as my 6th on my list of favorite Jethro Tull albums, maybe even 7th.

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - Same deal as 'A Passion Play' for me. It's good, but not great. I would take any other Genesis album with Steve Hackett over this one.

Pink Floyd - The Final Cut - I don't have much to say about this one. I'm not very familiar with it, but I do know I'm not a big fan of it. I would put it as my least favorite of their albums, but that's also considering that I like every single other album they've released.

ELP - Tarkus - I'm not a big fan of the title track on this album, it doesn't excite me all the way through, and side 2 is much less exciting even.

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King - Now this is a toughy. That's still a really good album, but I only pick this one because many people list it as the best KC album, and I would not agree with them at all. They have so many good albums, and even though this one is good, there are so many that I think are better.

Yes - Relayer - This album has taken a while to grow on me, but I still think it's a bit overrated. I hear far more praise for it than I feel it deserves. Still, it is a good album.

Rush - Moving Pictures - Again, this is a good album, but I do not believe it is Rush's best release by any means. There are many albums I would choose from them over this one.

To call the Genesis, Pink Floyd, and Crimso' choices overrated is like saying the Mona Lisa was modestly rendered.

Yes:  The Yes Album (I guess..)
Genesis:  Duke
King Crimson:  Larks Tongues
Emerson Lake and Palmer:  don't know!
Jethro Tull:  Thick as a brick and Aqualung  (need to hear both some more though)
Pink Floyd:  don't know. The whole band, in a way. They get too much respect, no one dislikes them, contrary to most other prog.

To re-state: overrated doesn't mean bad. IMHO only, of course:

Yes: CTTE - excellent, but hardly better than the fantastic Fragile

Genesis: All of their '70s albums are very good (4.5 stars) and sound more or less the same to my year, so if any of them were rated much higher than another from this period, I'd consider it "overrated" just for this reason alone, not to imply poorer quality.

King Crimson: ITCOCK. It's experimental and immature, as you'd expect from the first album of a young band that is searching for its unique sound. Big mystery to me how it could rank higher than all other albums in the KC discography.

Emerson Lake and Palmer: No opinion :)

Jethro Tull: I prefer their after-TAAB albums, which would presumably make the TAAB overrated?

Pink Floyd: no doubt WYWH is a substantial album, but comparing to the DSOTM its music is somewhat monotonous and sparse. It feels like you have to listen through 5 minutes of semi-coherent sounds fading in/out to get to the "real" music contents that follows.
