Your stash is well known (and exceeding maybe even Slatirbarfast one), but you can check Maudlin too. It's http://www.maudlinofthewell.net/downloads.html here for free download. And it's surprisingly accessible, even I was able to handle it (despite my fobia of death metal) and rate it with 5 stars. About 45. 30 of them are well known for me. Maybe I'll don't find some of them so special and they will descend to "under 100" position, some may otherwise emerge to hall of top 100 fame by my rating. This has been done before few times. I did not bother to check this time (the list is ever changing you know) but I usually have a bit more than half.
I think a better question would be which albums that are not in the top 100 or even top 250 should get much more recognition.
Just as an example I'll mention Esperanto's "Danse macabre". ------------- omri |

Supertramp's on there, by the way, because I tried it because it was on the list.  I was only able to find it a chain store. I was searching for anything from the top ten that I hadn't heard. All the others, not to be found. This is why I do most of my CD shopping on the internet. It was the third store I went to for crying out loud.  ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I think the algorithm was updated recently. Otherwise I would have had heard only about 9 albums in the Top 100. That's why I created this thread.
I like to look at the top charts and realize that I have a unique taste. Whether it's the IMDb, PA or some other chart, there're always a vast number of titles that I don't even like. That makes me happier. Maybe I'm being too elitist. None of the PA top 100 albums got my 5-star rating yet. Edit: I checked again and realized there's one album in the Top 60 that I did give 5 stars. |

Very interesting question... I own about 800 CDs (not all prog, but prog is my favorite type of music). I was surprised to see that I own 65 of the top 100. So overall It makes me feel good about making the right choices!

I own exactly 50
I restrict myself to pre-1976 generally for reasons which are not disrepectful of later music.
There are 8 pre-1976 albums on the list that i don't own. I have heard all but one of those and will try and buy them as soon as I can. The Yezda Ufa album is the odd one out and seems very interesting.

| I'm another one who does a lot better at the top than the bottom. I both own and have listened to 47 of these albums, with another 2 owned but not yet listened to. The 47 include all of the top 10, but only 2 of those in the 91-100 range. |
