ONLY MEDIAFIRE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM NOW ON. Russian Tea Cakes is an online avant-metal band formed my members of the SR and open to any new members who wish to contribute. The plan is to submit certain pieces of music, send it to another member and let them add THEIR music to that, and so forth. === The current members are: 1. Pekka (guitar, bass, drums) 2. Progkidjoel 3. JJLehto (drums, guitar) 4. Any Colour You Like (noise, acoustic guitar) 5. Henry Plainview 6. The Sleepwalker 7. SaltyJon (bass, kazoo, trombone, banjo and violin, vocals) 8. CinemaZebra (bass, vocals, lyrics) 9. NecronCommander (guitar, bass, vocals) 10. Alitaire (piano, keyboards, vocals, lyrics, sax, harmonica) 11. Vompatti (ummmmmm.....laptop?  )12. A track labeled as "waiting edit" means that it is not complete, and may be submitted to another member to tweak or add to. A track labeled as "pending edit" means that it may be able to get on the album without any tweaks, but is still open to an edit if suggested. A track labeled as "finished" means that this is a complete track and no longer needs editing. When two tracks are combined, a separate link is created for the mix but the originals stay in case anyone else wants to tweak them. You can tell a track is a mix when it's listed as an anti-logic math problem combining the tracks and renaming it the number in between. Tracklist: 1. (unitl I get a good amp, and maybe practice with my bass some more, I haven't tried playing avant-metal ever) However, in case you guys need a vocalist, I could PROBABLY contribute some lyrics and vocals, but only if it sounds good enough on my whack-ass camera. -------------

Im honestly excited. Ive been wanting to play/record for a while. Hopefully this will get me in the mood to go for broke and make an actual EP!  And I have a drum set temporarily I want a good reason to use it! EDIT: I need to fix my habits. Been staying up way too late/treating my body like hell. Must be partly why Ive been having trouble sleeping. Im not tired at all and its almost 5! I mean jeez, Im talking to people who live in Australia right now!  But its ok, the music! |

Sweet. That guitar work would be great. I've got the drumming down, but sadly I dont have an electronic kit! Weird sounds are all yours. Actually, it would be cool if we all shared parts. Like mixing up who is playing what for each section. Would make one hell of an interesting progression over this uber song! I forget who suggested this e-band...but I'm so glad. Im looking forward to this. |

I think we're waiting to hear from everyone, see if their game. I honestly don't know if we have a "plan" for this. As in: One records, gives to next who can add, and so on....or will we just throw this together? I know we're going for avant garde/experimental but I hope for the former. But I'd say start writing! Come up with some good stuff! When this does get going we'll already have some stuff started to work with. |

Yeah, I'm waiting for replies from 5 or 6 members (all those marked as Unconfirmed on the front page) and then we can start to throw some ideas together. I was thinking; should we put a cap of 10 people to each track? That could help to keep it somewhat musical and also make it easier when compiling the recordings. -------------

OK, almost done with this review. It is nearing 6am. Much as I love you guys the fact I am talking to people in Finland, Australia and New Zealand should say something When this is done I am peacing. Yeah, I was thinking of doing some drone. I'll probably make about another 20 minutes or so once I've done some work tommorrow. If that's cool with everyone, I'd just like to make noise and ambient stuff... I figure we won't need my guitar noodling anyway. |

My idea is to make an album and then any tracks leftover that the band doesn't like as much go in a side-EP. Both are free, so it doesn't matter how bad the EP is.
