Wow, Lima, when it rains, it pours with suggestions, cheers!

I've had DFA - 4th for quite a while, and it's very impressive, like a slightly more aggressive Canterbury album!

And I bought `Karfagen - Lost Symphony' recently, and I've got it sitting in the car right now, but haven't listened to it much yet, or not enough to let it sink in - sounds very promising though....and look at that cover!

As for your other suggestions, I'll look them all up, thanks!

Hello all!

Over the last two years or so, there have been some truly outstanding instrumental prog albums! Top 5 for me have been:

Kotobel – Concerto for Piano and Electric Ensemble

Asturias - Fractals (2011)

Sanhedrin - Ever After (2011)

Carpe Nota - Carpe Nota

La Theorie Des Cordes - Premieres Vibrations (2011)

with very honourable mentions going to:

Moraine - Metamorphic Rock (2011)
Forgas Band Phenomena - Acte V (2012)
Machine Mass Trio - As Real As Thinking (2012)
Tohpati Bertiga - Riot (2012)
Eclat - L'Esprit du Cercle (2012)
Montresor - Daybreak (2011)
and of course Anglagard - Viljans Oga (2012)

(I've very likely missed a few off the top of my head...)

But my question FINALLY is....

What other instrumental progressive albums would Archives members recommend that I might have missed that you think highly of? Any genre - jazz, metal, electronic, kraut....and they can be either modern or vintage reissues - I'm just after some more suggestions!

Please feel free to offer some opinions on the above mentioned titles too!

Thanks!
