70s: "Song for America" by Kansas (1975, 10:03)
80s: "I'm Freaking Out" by The Dixie Dregs (1980, 9:08)
90s: "Learning to Live" by Dream Theater (1992, 11:30)
00s: "Second Life Syndrome" by Riverside (2005, 15:40)

I can amend my definition if you guys go all Tom Cruise on me.

This is'nt fair that the 70's has only one epic to choose while TAAB, CTTE, APOLK (VDGG), Suppe's ready, Roundabout, Cheyen anthem, Incomudro, Scheherezade and The battle of glass tears among others have to be mentioned.

60's : Amon dull II - Phalus dei

70's : ELP - Tarkus

80's : King crimson - The sheltering sky

90's : Talk talk - Ascension day

00's : Proto-kaw - Nactolos 21 (that's a cheat since it was writen in 72 but published in the 00's)

Wholeheartedly agree on choices but I would add Chapter 1 of the K2 "Book of the Dead " CD which came out in 2004.
