Probably and probably...

Actually, he was drinking water at first... and secondly Coca-Cola, I believe, 'cause he's just recovered from laringytis (sp.?).

He did three tunes that I had heard (old Rainbow tracks, I believe).  I think he may have done some Alcatrazz stuff too (although he wasn't with his new version of Alcatrazz, he was with some other band).

So,James. Basically,he (Graham Bonnett) was just a distraction in the background...    Most importantly,James. Did you 'rock' ''All Night Long''?
Nudge,nudge.Wink,wink.

See, that's where I got confused... I was expecting the Lionel Richie tune of the same name...ShockedWink

No no, I was fully focussing on the band and Graham, whilst stood with the (almost) missus and her best mate.

Guys and girls... I don't suppose you know anything about flying ants (and ants in general)?

Nicky's house is infested with what appear to be flying ants and they're very annoying and bite as well.  I think they may not be ants... but she does have ants (of the non-winged variety) in the lounge and bedroom.  It's quite annoying.  She has put bait out for them, but I don't think that will work for the flying critters.  If they are flying ants, then they are fertile males and females looking for the Queen (so I've read).

These flying things are currently living on the net curtain by the window... hopefully they'll be gone after they've mated, but I know Nicky wants to see them gone.

Any advice?

Cheers.

I know how they feel....Wink

seriously though, I think they should be only around for a very short time, but in the meantime, either a can of fly repellant or sticky fly-paper should do the job on the cheap...  of course, an insectocutor is considerably cooler, as you can hear them frying as they hit the blue light... but they are a bit too expensive to fit for a short-term problem...

I don't think they last for long James. Try finding the source nest and put some ant powder down.

Ants.

You have to find the nest. When you do,pour boiling water over the nest.Check later and repeat again if there is still any activity .

Alternatively. The ants may be attracted to something in or around the house.Usually something sweet.Try to find the source and get rid.

The body of the ant is divided into three sections, the head, the thorax and the abdomen. They are enclosed in a hard amour-like covering called the exoskeleton, which provides some protection from other nasty little insects but unfortunately not from the dissector's scalpel. (an animated hand with a knife slices bits off the ant) See, nothing to it, he's not such a toughy. And his legs ... they help him carry hundreds of times his own weight, but look at this ... (a hand pulls the legs off) you're not so strong compared with me, four, five, six ... Ha!

Shocked

I guess I best not go back then. WinkLOL

Thanks guys.  I'm still not sure if they are ants or not.  Their bodies seem much bigger than the ants I've seen, so as David said, they could be flying termites. Confused

Locating the nest hasn't been fruitful so far, I'll try and take a look when I'm next round there though.

At the end of the day, it's not exaclty the nicest place to live anyway.

Hopefully they'll be gone soon. Cry

Thanks again.

Welcome back p-c. Glad to hear you had a good weekend but do you have to mention the words "heat" and "sunshine"?
Actually, Saturday was fairly warm, I managed to burn my head slightly (one of the hazards of old age and receding hairCry) but yesterday it was back to the usual wet stuff. And it was St Swithins Day, so it's going to p*ss down for the next 40 days as well.

Yep, exactly.
Is it a coincidence that every time I go to the cinema lately, there's a trailer for the film where God tells that guy to build an ark?
