Not a problem.  There is a good reason that the "You Decide" answer is there.  It is the most popular option in any PA poll.

I've heard the name, but I am not familiar with them.  If we get enough others than I can always create a second poll.  My vote actually might have gone for Samantha Fox or Paula Abdul, but I decided to leave them off for now.

Ah, sorry Scott, didn't want to sound that the choices weren't good enough, just that I barely know those, and you might have skipped The Corrs.

If you're ever interested by them, their first album, Forgiven Not Forgotten, I think it's the name of their debut, is surely the best choice. Of course, you must expect Pop, but I find it quite interesting Pop, with violins and Irish influences.

I'm not familiar with the Divynls or Laurie Anderson, but I do remember there was much discussion regarding Laurie Anderson and PA awhile back.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

Sorry.  I'm not a Bjork fan and I didn't think of her.  Also, she's been batted around a bit as a potential PA artist.  And in case anyone wonders why I didn't include Kate Bush, since she is on PA, I considered her to be a prog artist.

There are many I like in your list, but I think The Pretenders stand head and shoulders above most of the contenders (except perhaps Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks). I saw them live twice, and they cooked! Chrissie is one of my favourite female vocalists of all time.

A special mention should also go to Patti Smith, who, besides her solo work, was also a long-time collaborator of my beloved Blue Oyster Cult.

I thought this would be a slam dunk for you Micky.

I forgot to add Heart. Angry  Maybe I'll replace Wilson Phillips.  After all they are Wilsons.

Finnforest suggested that someone make a poll after my listening to The Bangles yesterday.  All of the above are non-prog female artists or bands with female singers from the 80's and 90's.  I am sure that I am probably forgetting many and there are probably many that I forgot on purpose.
