Place Vendome have also a second album, some think it's better than the first, I think they are both equally worth. A song from this album that has a strong TOTO influence (especially the intro) :
The keyboardist is Günther Werno from Vanden Plas.

My favorite would be classic Geoff Tate, EP thru O:M.

Probably the 'best' on that list in his prime was Midnight from Crimson Glory.

Crimson Glory was not a 'hair band', but they probably have the record for most hair of any band Tongue

I'd have to say Bruce Dickinson from the list. Then again what I like about him has little to do with his vocals.
Outside the list Oyvind Haegeland or that guy from Protest the Hero.

the vocalist from Tom Malicot from Lethal - sounds like Tate but is better than Tate - Programmed by Lethal should be an essential album for Queensryche fans.

thanks for the reco, just checking right now. Incredible control of his voice, indeed. But I found more emotion in Tate's vocals (especially on 'rage for order').
