2 or 3 votes is possible.

I will pick Aldo and Francesco for this one. Aldo is like Greg Lake and Jon Anderson put together. His role in the band is styled like Greg and he sounds like Jon Anderson. With Francesco, I like how he looks like a mascot, and could sing well too. His voice could sound like a movie character as well. Most notably in Miserere alla storia on Darwin.

There are some great ones from the 21st Century--of which Alessio Calandriello is probably my favorite.

I also love the mellifluous voice of PFM's team of vocalists.

Surely

1) Stratos

2) De Giacomo

No comparison with the others.
Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

Stratos is the most wildly talented vocalist here. Giacomo is the most iconic. Stefano and Alberto are both excellent as well, the former an excellent neurotic type and the latter full of love and warmth.

However my heart belongs to Aldo on this one. So soft and sweet, somehow able to haunt you as easily as sing you to sleep. And his melodies. Perfect.
Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

By the way, whoever sang for Alphataurus has surely been overlooked here. Great singer!

I have to vote for Franco Mussida, even though there are many great singers in this list.

I'm not the world's greatest expert on Italian prog but my favourite is Deus Ex Machina so I would vote for Alberto Piras, who sometimes sings in Latin.

Luca Latini (Profusion) is well worth mentioning.

Di Giacomo just above Stratos.

I don't know what it is about Italian vocalists, but I can't stand any of them. I've listened to Russian, Spanish, Polish, and other languages and I'm OK with them. But once an Italian vocalist starts singing, I cringe.

I can not stand Bernardo Lanzetti. His voice sounds too much like Peter Gabriel's, and sadly on Chocolate Kings, there are more lyrics and less time for instrumental parts that PFM are known for. Post 70s progressive artists have the same problem in my eyes too that they at times sound too derivative from older artists. An example being that Wobbler sounds like Yes at times and Fish from Marillion sounding like he is Peter Gabriel. He even had to cover a Genesis song to prove he was not a clone.

^ Also in Angra, and returned to Vision Divine. Not sure if they are still active though.

Angra is on hiatus or something it seems.
I didn't know about Vision Divine, I liked their 2019 album, but it's the only thing I liked from them, European power-metal is a very hit and miss genre for me. According to metalstorm, Ivan Giannini is their vocalist.

^ Hmm. OK. I like Vision Divine's debut album most. Very organic sound.
