Ever notice how certain songs are almost always mentioned as the least favorite when certain popular albums are being discussed? Yes, some of these are throwaways, filler, jokes, or just radical departures from everything else on the album. But which of these 10 songs would be your favorite of the bunch?

(With pre-emptive apologies to those who will immediately post that one of these is your very favorites: no offense is intended.)

Listed in alphabetical order.

I chose my least favorite and the poll question asks for THE favorite.
Oh well, I'll pay more attention next time. Embarrassed

Your Own Special Way for me as well. I think it's a lovely dreamy little song, although I understand why it's a divisive one as well.

I went with Time Table. I never thought this was an unpopular song. I also like Five Percent for Nothing, Witch Hunt, and Your Own Special Way. The one on this list I like the least might be Seamus. I dumped myself into a sink and poured countries, cake frosting, and pickling liquid all over myself. Oops.

Totally dig Time Table.
Your Own Special Way and Circumstances complete the list.
Welcome to the middle of the film.

It's only now that I've gone over to the Top 10s and Lists board and found "Moving Pictures: Rank the Tracks", and far more people had "Vital Signs" as their least favorite from this album. This was a big surprise for me, as I've owned the album almost since it was released, and 95% of everyone I've ever talked to about it thinks very little of "Witch Hunt". But then, the whole point of these polls is to capture the worldwide "diversity of viewpoints" this site is so well known for!

I've never run into anyone who actively dislikes "Witch Hunt." If anything, "The Camera Eye" gets less love than both "Witch Hunt" and "Vital Signs," and I think all three are exceptional tracks, especially "Vital Signs"!

Circumstances might be my favorite non-epic Rush track from the classic era.

I don't think witch hunt is the least popular song on MP (that would be vital signs) but I voted for it anyway.

Hi,

It's sad to see Moonchild listed here. In many ways, it is a piece about the fall of the hippie/gypsy girl that was an ideal, with flower in her hair, of course! That it is "connected" to a famous/infamous novel is not really that big a deal for me ... but the "destruction" of a generation by the media due to the drugs, sex and rock'n'roll, is far more important, and that song would be considered a comment on that in my book.

Seamus, by PF may have been a follow up to Mademoiselle Knobs that you can see in the "Live in Pompeii" film (gosh ... I don't even remember it!), while also being a fun take on many bands having used a dog ... Jefferson Airplane did it, Manfred Mann did it although it was touched up to the beat, and probably a few more pieces around ... but those two others are imprinted in my memory.

I think it was a fun thing ... not meant to be anything but a fun moment ... but making a negative comment on these is strange ... so these musicians/artists can not have any fun? Oh wait ... they got all the money from us, and we don't want fun ... we want hits! Confused

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
