I've also got Lonely Land, and I'd say it has some pluses compared to Riktigt Akta, but in total I prefer Riktigt Akta - not least due to the Swedish vocals. ![]() |

Awesome, thanks, but don't knock yourself out. :) |

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

I voted for Ys, one of my all-time favorites. Also like Caravanserai, Space Shanty, and Signals.

I do hope the part two comes out pretty soon, John. I got a list ready, and it will be interesting for me to see which I remove due your choices. I have some guesses, but I don't want to influence your list by mentioning any. There are many albums that I love from 2002, 2012 and 2022.

yes, Zeit is unique, even among the TD albums... a double album of four, incredibly slow atmospheric, minimalistic movements isn't everyone's cuppa and I have to be in the mood for it, but it does get under your skin. I have the Special Edn with the similar Klangwald on the reverse, and I can't listen to them both, back to back. |

Funny you mention Riktigt Akta because I played these back to back a year or so ago and found myself more into Lonely Land. I've always said in the past that the one with the Swedish vocals is better. Anyway I have both so... ![]() |

That's where my vote went as well. There's something hazy about this album. I don't know how to describe it. But it's right there with that Alphataurus album, my two all timers from Italy. |

Went for Ys; the album that sees The Mars Volta teaming up with ELP, Amon Düll ll and an Italian Arthur Brown on vocals! What’s not to like?

Now, this is a strange one....
Signals was incredibly important to me around 83... nothing touched it. Images & Words the same in 92... nothing touched it. Today? Well, I'd have to choose Space Shanty, narrowly over Zeit. |

Much overlap in our tastes here, as even my favourite is probably Space Shanty, I'm also fond/very fond of Ys, Hybris and Caravanserai. Also Landberk's Riktigt Akta (not Lonely Land). |
