Bagpipes, Uillean pipes, Doodlesack... call them what you like they're bloody awful. Whoever thought it a good idea to put 25 of them together in one band should be locked in an anechoic chamber for the rest of their natural lives with Mull of 'Kintire played on a continuous loop.

I don't really hate violins. But they often steal more of the spotlight than they deserve. And their "emotional" tone just gets kind of tiresome to me. They do sound pretty in small doses. And I was also thinking of when violins are used as "fiddles", which is an abomination.
You're allowed to not like an instrument, but this is like hating the saxophone because of how Kenny G make it sound (which is understandable but very wrong)

OK, guess I'm wrong then. I can live with that.

Being from Briton origin, I'm a bit disturbed by the lack of love for Bagpipes, Uilean pipes and all their relatives. I DO enjoy the sound of binious, for an example. But I guess that will be an eternal fight between Anglo-Saxons and Celts...

What I hate is the sound of neon lights.
Well I will stand with you in enjoying bagpipes and all other pipes quite a lot. Then again, I am a fan of obnoxious noise in general.

Just occurred to me that the OP asks for what you "can't stand", while my answers were more directed at the thread title, "least favoriet" (sic). Big difference in my book. The worst music in the world is a lot better than a sharp blow to the head (which I can't stand).

A couple of years ago I saw, and almost bought a CD of all of Take That's hits played on the Pan Pipes. Can you imagine that? It still makes me shiver to think of the suffering that could be inflicted with such a recording.
