I remember seeing that single on a blog somewhere. Will look for it!

How does it sound compared to their early albums?

In a word, unrecognisable.

It's also available on the Archives vol 1 (which gathers together the first 3 albums plus some odds & ends).

Yup, It's more of a hard rock thing if I remember well. No members from the later Art Zoyd group, but apparently, they decided there was a link.

What Syzygy & Sean wrote (click on the link under the cover). Its unessential, and might as well be another band. But I still like it.

The physical albums are difficult (and/ or very expensive) to get, but if you don't mind digital downloads, then check out http://www.emusic.com/artist/Art-Zoyd-MP3-Download/11842762.html
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

By mini-lp I suppose you mean lp-replica cd? Either way, that's good news! I'm very curious to hear the first version of Symphonie!

I know I'm waiting for these myself, febus.

I'll try to get some of those re-issues. I have some vinyls but CDs would be handy.

IF this reissue was such a big success, i wouldn' t worry too much.....another serie might be on its way out.....we just have to keep a close eye not to miss it again.

I don't think the separate albums are sold out, it's the box-set. There was only 100 copies made, and I'll bet you'll find a third of them on e-bay soon!!!

Where Art (zoyd) and commerce collide...

I'd rather get my hands on the old vinyls than a new CD release, but I had wanted to buy the boxset.  I wish it had not sold out so darned quickly because of those bloody speculators/ scalpers, but it's better that it sold so very quickly, in a way.  I just wish it hadn't been bought by people as a way to make a buck rather than for musical enjoyment purposes.

edited for missing whole words from sentences (I've always been prone to typos, but missing words?)

Hee, I'm just having my first proper listen to some Art Zoyd (downloaded the 3-album thingy from eMusic).

What an interesting mixture!!

'Les Fourmis' is currently playing as I type this, and it's (seriously!) reminding me of an orchestral interpretation of Renaldo and the Loaf. LOL

I'll have to come back here eventually when I've done more listening, and vote in the poll...
