Eh, no. LOL

They're pretty depressing droney post-rock type of stuff.

Not indie folk. Wink

I do see the similarity though.

Call it the extra level of excitedness of owning it for a couple months, but I'd be willing to go farther than just the 90s.  It's pretty astonishing in every way, I think.

I know what you mean.  I was given it to review when it came out, and I was immediately blown away, and blabbered on and on about it to anyone who would listen. It was the perfect album for that point in my life.  I'd heard of the group before, but had no idea how good they were.  Strangely, their albums since then haven't hit me as hard.  Maybe if they stuck to a more regular release schedule they'd hold my attention better.

edit: just noticed your location to be "Penn State".  My wife and her whole family are Penn Staters, and her mother lives in State College.  Incredible place.

It was a pretty great place.  I'm not there anymore, but I've been too lazy to update my location.  LOL

Have you heard their newest album (Decline and Fall)?  It's another heavy hitter, great stuff.  No Dave Kerman on drums, but the new drummer does a fine job IMO and Elaine di Falco fills the vocal post nicely.
