RIP
Just two months short of turning 100, wow, what a life lived.
I recall going downtown with my mom, (London Ont.), in 1972 I think, to see the queen. She was a huge royalist. I got within a few feet of her majesty but don't recall seeing Philip. According to records though, he was there with her.

I used to work in a pub near the gates to Windsor Great Park. Quite often when I was sweeping outside the pub before opening up, horses would go past and into the park. I’d always call out good morning. One day I heard a horse approaching, and called out good morning without looking up. I looked up as the greeting “good morning young man” was called out in return, to see that it was Philip rising a horse-drawn buggy, we waved at each other, and carried on. It was kind of nice. RIP

A musician I really admired B.B. Dickerson, original founding member and bassist of the group War, has died at the age of 71.  He had one of the most distictive, deep bass sounds in music.

I just learned a couple of days ago that one of my favorite comedy actors, Trevor Peacock passed earlier this month.  Mostly kown (I assume) for his actiing in the British comedy 'The Vicar of Dibley'. He was a very  talented person.  I also found out that he wrote the single "Mrs Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter" for Herman's Hermits (which went to #1 in the United States).  R.I.P.

RiP to an heroic bass player, I have always loved the bass playing, subtle yet solid, there is just that way to tame the octupus in the bathtub.

RIP to Cliff Simon who died on March 9 at the age of 58 from a kiteboarding accident. He is probably best know for playing the Goa'uld system lord Ba'al on Stargate SG-1.
