Remember to vote for your LEAST favourite subgenre.

In this stage my main business is the crusade against the hybrid subgenres that are more or less limited to one country. Since I prefer RPI above Krautrock I vote for the latter. Moreover, I hope to keep Sympho in the tournament because I think it is one of the core subgenres of prog.

I like the fact that you're consistent even if I hope Krautrock will last to the very end. My current fave
Btw whereas RPI is entirely made up of Italian artists (please, anybody, correct me if I'm wrong), you'll find loads of acts in Krautrock spanning from places as different as Japan, France, The States, Italy and the list literally goes on and on. Back when the expression was coined it largely dealt with German acts exclusively - including bands like Jane, Birth Control, Pell Mell, Adonis' Daughter and lots of other acts that we here on PA have placed in other subs. Krautrock, at least on this site, is more about the 'experimental' vibes, improvisation, motorik grooves and that ever so fleeting feel of Kosmische Musik
(I know you said "more or less limited to one country", I just took the chance to elaborate on a sub which I feel a lot of folks misunderstand. It wasn't directed at you in particular )

It's funny to see how much Symphonic is the "least favourite" genre on this poll. When you take a look at the top 25 albums of all time, the genre is strongly represented and those who are not listed as Symphonic (like In The Court) are considered as such... Strange

Having a difficult time choosing what I should vote for, Krautrock or RIO/Avant-Prog?
