blame it on Argus... I suspect most of those votes would have gone to Hatfield if in a straight 1 on 1 duel. Perhaps they will meet again in the 3rd round.

Can't believe Rush are pipping Hatfields in this. It's like replaying my teenage years all over again as I was 'forced' to justify why Hatfield were so brilliant against my more numerous and smug Rush 'friends' -- what's worse, it seems that since then (the late 70s), Rush have been classified as 'prog' - back then, they were faves at the metal discos. Ah well...

I understand that. Roy Wood is a a unique persona. If you listen to his "Boulders" album: quite original stuff...

all great.. but unless Jeff Lynne was giving out sex and paying for the honor to get votes .. no way ELO was going to do better than 4th in this grouping no matter what album we went with.

Rush - not even close for me. Wishbone Ash have their moments here and, atypically, I like the poppier side of ELO. Hatfield is obviously skilled but not my taste.

More heavy prog, please!

Maybe, but not a patch on the dear old Hatfields, I'm afraid.

Rush, A Farewell to Kings.

When he rides, my fears subside. For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night.

Hatfield trumps all of those imho though that is a solid list and they are all good. btw I keep getting 'server data errors' when I post in ay of the polls micky posted.
