I find it annoying to see so many "punk sucks" and "modern rock sucks" threads. I also include any "punk tried to kill prog". Prog is great music but there's no need to avoid listening to punk if you like it. If you don't, fine but why run it down? If punk sucks so much and prog is such a highly evolved art form, how do you explain "Love Beach"?
Besides, you can't dance to prog. You better learn to apreciate other forms of music, then you can go some public place (let's face it, they probably won't play prog) and you can dance along to the music. For some of you on this thread: IF YOU CAN ENJOY OTHER FORMS OF MUSIC, YOU COULD EVEN DANCE WITH A REAL WOMAN INSTEAD OF SITTING IN YOUR ROOM LISTENING TO "SUPPER'S READY" FOR THE HUNDREDTH TIME.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. I know this doesn't apply to most on this thread but there are some who could benefit from what I just typed.

You can try dance to dance to electronic prog albums like Pheadra, Ricochet.

"I've got more CD's than you" threads. Those are really mature.
Threads that are nothing but emoticons and signatures telling us who you're favorite bands are. It's like watching commercials.

As has already been said here -
1 - any thread with the title "best" or "worst" in its title.
2 - "chalk" vs "cheese" threads
3 - "rate my..." threads
4 - Really funny, intelligent, prescient threads, the idea for which I didn't think of first (i.e. all of them)

My cat is severely underrated in his technicality - he's definitely more technical than the next guy's dog. That said, he's a lot less progressive than 70s' cats.
