Well due to some strange issues with my email link I did not see some of the ideas posted here, but I am going to try to add them to next weeks show.  As always thank you everyone for your input.  Thanks to you guys I have learned about Gentle Giant, Caravan, and Camel this week.  All of these had not been on my radar.  Gentle Giant has been slowly setting in and I am quite enjoying what I have found.  Some of your suggestions were not in our dj servers or my collection, but thanks for all your input.  The new show is up, or going up right now.  www.thedividingline.com/ss

Cheers,
Woody

Di Meola's acoustic projects, in particular his World Sinfonia albums and the Tirami Su/Cielo e Terra period is warm, evocative music that is quite summer-like.

How about the band Natsumen? A Japanese band with a very charismatic personality and a love for all things summer.

You have album titles like:
Kill Your Winter!!!
Endless Summer Record
Never Wear Out Your Summer XXX!!!

and song tittles like:
Newsummerboy
Whole Lotta Summer
August Still Sunburnt
Pills to Kill ma August

What more Summer do you need? LOL

P.S.
This is a real band.

'beyond and before' by yes (from their debut) always reminds me of summer, probably jon anderson's voice! It's more of a 'psychadelic' song, but it is by yes, and such a song would naturally lead one toward close to the edge, and fragile etc. That's really all that comes to me!

for those about to prog, we salute you.

Kate Bush, "Aerial", 2nd CD.
Then try Riccardo Zappa "Celestion", KC "Island", Agitation Free "Malesch", Can "Future Days". If you refer to single songs, well... "Rivendell" by Rush, "The Remembrance" by Yes, and why not finishing with "Senti l'Estate che Torna" by Le Orme? There's also an English version of this song (Summer Coming).
