Didn't like your divuision. Understand your reasons but disagree with them. Vote for the Post -Waters because my fav albums are fixed in various "eras" and I must recognize the wondeful Divison Bell its valour, even if only for the rescue of Mr. Wright's compositions and vocals.
Bach, Ma, Bros, Déia, Dante.

1. Spacy Years
2. Concepty Years (Because of Animals not because of the Final Crap)
3. Psychedelic years

And then it's quite a draw between Post-Water and Symphonic years.

Voted for their earlier stuff (Piper/Saucerful) as after that I just lost interest. Floyd have produced an incredibly varied body of work over the years but most of it just doesn't seem to float my boat like the Syd era did.

BTW I happen to think DSOTM a rather ordinary music album but boasts some of the finest lyrics ever penned by anyone in popular music full stop. Who amongst us is NOT moved by the following?:

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines

Personally I would have put Meddle in the same category as DSOTM. Why is Meddle symphonic?

It might not be relevant to this poll, but "Live at Pompeii" was the quintessential Floyd for me. The live version of "Echoes" is one of the most moving pieces of music I've ever heard.

My favourite Floyd album is Atom Heart Mother so I'l go for the experimental years.
