hey ! guys! we all know what we are talking about.....It is a topic That is understood better when NOT discussed in a public forum.  No confessions from me-But without hearing and reading about these artists, I would have been totally  ignorant of the globalstretch of progressive music.  There are" factions" , that, would rather dictate what I should listen to and like[buy]....by not creating access to this art unless they profit directly! [ sorry -I got carried away- wrong thread]  BUT, you get the point.

Off course it's illegal (because the tracks are directly downloaded) but it's seems to be impossible to do restrictions.

moreover, the idea of thinking that we can add extracts only because artists don't manifest themselves is a little bit easy...I'm not sure that everyone is informed about the existence of the site.

now that's my voice, no need to agree with me

I love the MP3s to sample artists before buying the albums. I would love to see more, especially from relatively unknown acts (thinking of acts from countries like Venezuela and so on).

I do think that in some cases the selection of the included songs is dubious. For instance, including an MP3 for Close to the edge (in fact half of the album) goes too far IMHO.

Hello, everyone.

I think this site is awesome! I've already learned a lot from it, and I'm highly interested in checking out more facets of Progressive music.

I have a question: are the mp3s on Progarchives.com legal and legitimate? I don't mean to be tense, but I would like to know.

If anyone could assist me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and rock on,

This dude has posted the same question in 3 forums on this site, even after getting a pretty good answer from TP.

Somethin fishy about this guy

Maybe he's a record company spy.

maybe he can't read, so he doesn't know his question is answered already

Actually, I can read. I went to college or something.

Ok i use Limewire to download (to make buying decisions you understand) so where do i download from on prog archives ??

Simple.  Just go to the bio page of the band you are interested in, scroll down a bit, and check out the mp3s.  To download one, right click it and choose save target as.

thanks by the way
